Product description 

Magnostics designed the Aurosphere® 800 mesoporous silica superparamagnetic beads for high‑performance nucleic acid separation workflows. Their specific surface area is over 40 times larger than that of conventional smooth silica beads (Fig 1), enabling enhanced interaction between nucleic acids and the silica surface. 

This characteristic allows highly efficient binding of DNA and RNA (Fig 2), including short fragments down to ~50 bp (even~25 bp with optimized conditions) from serum, through adsorption within the pores and on the external silica surface (Fig 3). 

They can be used directly for nucleic acid extraction or further adapted through chemical functionalization for a broad range of life science applications.
