Where can I find the Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and Safety Datasheet (SDS) for the Aurosphere Silica beads?

Do you offer magnetic rack compatible with your beads?
Yes. Whilst most commercial magnetic racks are compatible with AurosphereTM Silica beads. Magnostics developed custom magnetic separators for 96-well plates: the M96S-1 separator for classic 96-well platesand the M96D-400 96-deep-well plates.
What is the best way to mix Aurosphere beads?
Aurosphere Silica beads are compatible with most mixing techniques, including vortexing and sonication. In particular, for optimal dispersion before use, short sonication (via ultrasonic bath or probe) is recommended. Always ensure a fully resuspended and homogenous bead suspension throughout all steps.
What sample types are suitable for nucleic acid extractions with the Aurosphere Silica beads?
In principle, Aurosphere Silica beads should be compatible with most sample
types. Careful optimization of buffers and extraction procedures might be required for optimal results.
How much beads should be used for DNA extraction?
The optimal amount of beads depends on the sample type and DNA content. Always ensure complete magnetic collection of the beads on the magnet during the binding, washing and elution steps, to maximize yield and avoid carry over into downstream applications.
Can Aurosphere Silica beads be used in automated workflows?
Yes. Aurosphere Silica beads should be compatible with automation. When developing automated workflows, ensure beads remain in suspension throughout the process to maintain consistency and optimal performance.
Aurosphere® Mesoporous Beads
What are mesoporous magnetic beads?
Mesoporous magnetic beads are magnetic particles coated with a porous silica shell that provides substantially greater surface area than conventional smooth beads.
What applications are they suitable for?
Applications include DNA extraction, cfDNA recovery, NGS sample preparation, molecular diagnostics, protein purification, and customised bead-based workflows.
Can they be used with automated systems?
Yes. Aurosphere® mesoporous beads are compatible with standard magnetic separation workflows and can be integrated into many automated platforms.
Are they suitable for liquid biopsy?
Mesoporous beads have been developed to improve recovery of fragmented nucleic acids, making them particularly attractive for liquid biopsy and cfDNA applications.
