Magnostics is developing a lab-on-a-chip device
This lab-on-a-chip device will be used for quick magnetic particle sensing and virus detection. Researchers in Magnostics demonstrated a technique that is capable of sensing Aurosphere magnetic beads and captured biological targets with single bead sensitivity.
The technique uses an integrated optical sensor, silicon-based chip, which is a microfluidic and magnetic separator for magnetic beads, to scan the chip surface, on which the magnetic beads were distributed and separated. The optical sensor can quickly detect single beads, beads aggregates, and beads with biological attachments. The technique can be used in developing quick and sensitive devices for point-of-care applications.
